These modules access data from your Geneva platform and perform key functions, such as Pricing, Prime Broker Uploads, Wash Sales Notification, and much more. G2 Geneva Modules also readily auto-feed revised data back to your Geneva system, enhancing and customizing your Geneva investment to meet your specific business requirements. Click here for a detailed data sheet on all of the Geneva Modules. G2 Geneva Modules can be standalone or G2 AnyLink programs. G2 AnyLink is a daily workflow management tool that automates data flow in and out of Geneva — eliminating the need for manual data entry. G2 AnyLink also archives all the data that flows through it and has an intuitive GUI for ease of use.
Standalone Geneva Module
- TaxGopher
This powerful tax analysis engine works with your Geneva system to analyze trade data, identify tax events like wash/constructive sales, and inform you of the tax implications of those events and others.
TaxGopherTM reports provide you with key data so you maintain a current tax profile and avoid any nasty surprises come tax time. One report, for instance, helps you proactively identify wash/constructive sales, including the total amount that will be disallowed by the IRS. Another TaxGopher report details disallowed losses by lot and lists the necessary cost adjustments to carry forward the loss into future periods. Those cost adjustments can be auto-fed into your general ledger system so that, once those lots are eventually liquidated, the cost basis is correct.
G2 AnyLink Modules
- G2 Data Warehouse
G2 Data Warehouse provides a snapshot of the data created within Geneva, and maintains an automatically refreshed copy of the investments, tax data, and performance metrics of your company's investment portfolios. Once in the warehouse, data is easy to analyze, migrate and report on using standard tools such as Microsoft SQL 2005 SSRS and SSIS, and Crystal Reports.
- G2 Cash Sweeper
Using a dedicated “Cash Strategy,” (either through end-of-day sweeps or per-transaction transfers), CashSweeper maintains Geneva cash balances in an ordered state. CashSweeper also accommodates Geneva's restrictions on transferring FX Forwards. Now you can do all your “street” forward trades in one strategy and CashSweeper will allocate them according to your specifications. Hedging with physical cash is also possible. Allocations can run automatically on a schedule and/or on-demand. Finally, all operations can be set to run one-time, or to be retroactively upgraded when balances are changed by amendments and “as of” trades.
- G2 LogScrubber
LogScrubber hunts down and kills old Geneva log files that can clog file systems.
- G2 Uploads Prime Broker
Every PB has a different upload format for your daily trade blotter and everyone has a different encryption mechanism. G2UploadsPrimeBroker
automatically extracts, formats, encrypts and uploads your data in either an automatic batch process or manual user-triggered upload.
- G2 Uploads Admin
Every fund admin has a different format for daily position files, and some use encryption mechanisms. Similar to G2's PB service,
G2UploadsAdmin uploads these extracts from Geneva either on demand or in batch mode.
- G2 RunRep
A stand-alone Windows-based application that executes RSL and displays reports. G2Runrep circumvents the report size limitation imposed by the Java-based
GenevaClient (e.g., "Out of Memory" errors when running reports). G2Runrep also allows clients who are transitioning to the Geneva 7.0
front-end to delay converting all of their custom RSL to be 7.0 compatible.
- G2 Trade Loader
A tool for easier, faster booking of trades into Geneva. Since each user has different formats for temporarily storing trade information, G2 TradeLoader can be customized to meet your specific needs.
Bloomberg Modules
- BLP Security Master
Loads security master data into a Geneva database from Bloomberg Data License or Bloomberg Back Office. Can be operated in batch or incremental
mode.
- BLP Prices
Looks at current positions and identifies all securities related to those positions. BLP Prices formats a Bloomberg Data License request to collect
prices for all your listed securities, then inserts the data into your Geneva system. Runs in demand or batch mode.
- BLP Corporate Actions
BLP Corporate Actions scans your Geneva database for active positions. It then queries Bloomberg Data License for the EOI (Events of Interest). These
events are then processed and most mandatory corporate actions are uploaded into your Geneva system.
